- 20 reker---20 prawns(shrimp),medium size
- 1 l vann---1 l water
- 2 sitrongress,skåret på skrå i ca. 2-3 cm lange biter---2 stalks lemon grass,lightly pounded,cut into 2-3 cm long segments
- 4 ss fiskesaus ---4 tablespoons fish sauce
- 10 skiver galanga(kha)---10 sliced fresh galanga
- 4-5 kaffirlimeblader---4-5 kaffir lime leaves,shredded
- 3-4 ss saften av lime---3-4 tablespoons lime juice
- 5-6 Thai røde chili---5-6 crushed fresh Thai chili peppers
- 2 tomater---2 tomatoes,sliced
- 3 sjalottløk---3 shallots,lightly pounded
- 2 ss"prik pao"---2 tablespoons"Prik Pao" roasted chili in oil.
- Pynt:koriander---Fresh coriander(cilantro)for garnish
Method:
- Rens og vask rekene.--Wash the shrimps and shell them without removing the tails.
- Kok opp vannet og tilsett kaffirlimeblader,sitrongress,galanga,og sjalottløk.--Boil the water and then add kaffir lime leaves,lemon grass,galanga and shallot.
- Kok opp igjen og tilsett fiskesaus,prik pao og saften av lime.--Bring back to a boil then add fish sauce,prik pao and lime juice.
- Ha i rekene og rød chili.Kok opp og la suppen trekke ca.5-10 minutter til rekene blir røde--Put shrimps and fresh chili peppers in a pot.Let cook about 5-10 minutes until the shrimps turn pink.
- Tilsett tomater.Pynt suppen med koriander.Serv med varm ris.--Add tomato and serve garnished with coriander(cilantro).Serve with warm rice.
Tomatoes are small,soft,red fruit that you can eat raw in salads or cooked as a vegetable:-)
